Traineeship
A Traineeship is similar in principle to an Apprenticeship as it combines paid employment with flexible learning methods including classroom, workplace based projects and workplace assessment.

All participants receive course materials that are accurate, up to date and relevant to the industry. Qualifications are accredited and are nationally recognised by both industry and government.

How do traineeships work?
In conjunction with the trainee and employer, your Training Consultant will prepare a Training Plan consistent with the qualification to be attained and customised to meet the needs of the trainee and the workplace. The Training Plan outlines the units to be attained and a proposed training and assessment timeframe. This timeframe may alter to accommodate changing needs throughout the training and assessment program. Our goal is to work with you to develop and deliver a training program that will provide maximum benefit to your workplace and your trainee's development.
Who is Eligible?
All employers are eligible as long as they intend to employ the trainee for the duration of the course and are prepared to provide supervision and mentoring. Trainees will also need to be given time away from their normal work duties for training purposes. All employees (without formal qualifications) are eligible provided they work between 15 - 30 hours per week part-time or at least 30 hours per week full-time.
What Will it Cost?
Subject to eligibility, training is Government funded. The only costs to the employer are:
For a new employee: A maximum $903 tuition fee (Tax Deductible) which covers the cost of training, assessment and administration (as per Government fees and charges policy) · Learning material costs (if applicable)
For an existing employee: P.O.A
Recognition of prior Learning: RPL (upon application) is assessed on an individual basis. People requesting RPL are required to complete an evidence portfolio and attend an interview and may be required to practically demonstrate specific skills or knowledge. Your Trainer can discuss this with you.
