Certificate III in Home & Community Care (CHC30308) This certificate level is generally regarded as the standard required to operate as a personal care worker in a home care environment. Topics covered in the course may include: Orientation to aged care work Orientation to disability care work Occupational Health & Safety Communicating appropriately with clients/colleagues Processing and providing information Participating in the aged care environment Delivering and monitoring services to clients Providing care and support Advocating on behalf of clients Assisting with aged peoples personal needs Operating under a case work framework This training can be delivered with Victorian Government funding to eligible participants. This course can be delivered as a Traineeship or on a fee-for-service basis.

Certificate IV in Home & Community Care (CHC40208)
This certificate level is generally regarded as being required to operate in a supervisory or team leader capacity in the HACC sector. With 6 compulsory and 9 elective units making up this qualification this course is designed to facilitate 'Streaming' based on occupational need and includes Service Coordination. Topics covered in the course may include: Client Management Developing individualised plans Specialist communication skills Maintaining information systems Working efectively with stakeholders Developing and delivering services to clients Providing care and support Advocating on behalf of clients Operating under a case work framework Maintaining effective networks Contributing to policy development
This program is offered for employer specific groups, where common electives can be chosen to support an organisations specific needs.
