Certificate III Aged Care Courses Entry Requirements
To enrol in a Certificate III Aged Care Course, the following requirements need to be met -
- Educational Background - You should have completed at least Year 10 or its equivalent. If you are a mature age student, which means you are 20 years or older, this requirement may be flexible.
- English Proficiency - You must have with suitable skills in language, numeracy and literacy for a Certificate III level course. See more information at https://www.aqf.edu.au/aqf-levels
- Physical Fitness - A reasonable level of fitness and flexibility is necessary to carry out manual handling tasks.
- National Police Clearance - You must hold a current National Police Clearance (not older than 3 months at time of enrolment). This is essential for workplace training and can be obtained from any Post Office. Please allow 3 weeks for delivery.
- Unique Student Identifier (USI) - You will need to provide your USI number. If you don't have one, you can apply for it online.
- Technical Requirements - You will need access to a computer and a reliable internet connection.
- Eligible Visas - The only visas that are eligible for qualification courses are listed below -

Certificate III Aged Care Course Fee Details
No course fees for new students to Aged Care in 2025*. This training is fully subsidised by the WA and Australian Governments, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services WA formal eligibility criteria. Students not eligible for Subsidised Training will pay the full fee of $6,000.
