Once successfully completed, students will be awarded the nationally accredited qualification via email within 48 hours of practical training being completed.
Every 3 years you will have to complete the First Aid course again to refresh your qualification to ensure that first aid skills are current.
First aid requirements and best practicises are frequently updated so you need to complete a new course to refresh your skillset and ensure you are up to date with any changes.
You are not legally required to complete a resuscitation course each year. It is recommended, however, by the Australian Resuscitation Council. By taking a course every year, you will be able to demonstrate your resuscitation skills on a regular basis. Depending on which industry you work in, you may be required to take an annual CPR refresher course in order to comply with industry regulations or licensing requirements. Training Unlimited recommends that you do a refresher course every year so that you can keep up with any new techniques that are introduced and to ensure that you can effectively perform resuscitation.
This is counted as a refresher course! You simply complete the course again, however you will be able to complete it quicker as you already have experience.
